1 - First Shift
Are you the type of person who consistently shows attention to detail and enjoys seeing the direct impact of your work on the customer experience? In this role you will fulfill customer needs through our dealers by supporting various export booking and logistical issues. This position manages the order process beginning at inquiry through production, shipment, invoice, and export documentation.
What You'll Do
1. Provide customer support for international dealers. Review dealer inquiries, request, issues, and follow-up with answers and trouble-shoot for solutions.
2. Advise dealers of shipping schedule and necessary shipping details. Create invoices for goods shipped with particular attention to any special terms or discount agreements. Approve freight charges, delivery charges and other assessorial charges for payment. Report the status of international goods shipping for month-end forecasting and inform management when goods have not been shipped.
3. Manage Ocean and Air Freight Export Coordinators research optimal freight options for export and prepare freight quotations for all charges including goods, inland, ocean, handling, insurance, packing and other necessary quotations. Plan for ex-factory and export arrangements booking directly with steamship lines to reserve space and to secure a schedule.
4. Manage the order entry process from post order entry to order completion. Assist in organization of prioritization of equipment to develop production schedules.
5. Provide support including preparing general documents needed for export including pack list, master Bill of Lading and Automated Export System filing and updating data in database to include order/invoice/shipping information.
6. Analyze letters-of-credit or sight draft terms and follow-up with any necessary banking processes to ensure payment to Company or dealers.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in business or logistics with minimum two years of experience with export and domestic goods and/or internal customer service; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of logistics, customer service, export booking, and specialized export documentation.
- Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.
- Ability to effectively manage dealer's open order status and completed goods, shipping instructions, and follow-up arrangements for shipment.
- Ability to actively and creatively problem-solve amidst various delivery, shipping, and scheduling requirements.
- Ability to apply various mathematical skills to quote pricing, calculate special discount, quote freight, and provide foreign currency conversions and metric conversions.
- Ability to effectively communicate in foreign language preferred.
Travel

Work Location
ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
