This role will have responsibility for Tektronix ITAR business (Tektronix Component Solutions), compliance with BIS MEU regulations, Export Control training and policy development as well as other topics within the Tektronix Trade team. Responsibilities:

  • Apply expertise to supervise and provide guidance/training on export compliance with the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Dept. of Defense (DoD), and OFAC-Office of Foreign Assets Control, and other import/export laws.
  • Manage and develop ITAR and EAR compliance manual and related standard work for the ITAR business unit; serve as an internal subject matter expert on ITAR issues.
  • Develop internal controls and audit processes for compliance as well as conduct audits.
  • Prepare DSP-5’s, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) and Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA’s) and EAR SNAP-R applications as needed; support documentation and AES filing as needed.
  • Partner with engineers and Program Managers to determine jurisdiction and classification of products & technical data.
  • Lead MEU compliance program together with APAC Sr. Manager, review transactions to determine compliance with 744.21, make risk determinations, raising as required.
  • Be responsible for drafting of voluntary disclosures
  • Work closely with business units and other Trade Compliance team members and other Fortive Operating Companies to support export compliance activities.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of proven experience with ITAR regulations in technology or electronics industry
  • Experience drafting, reviewing and filing DSP-5’s, MLA’s and TAA’s
  • Mid to high level technical ability with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized; ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent judgment and flexibility and able to provide dynamic solutions
  • Must be located in PST or MST time zones

This position's primary/essential functions are subject to U.S. Government ITAR compliance requirements under current government contracts. Therefore, all employees in this position must be either: 1) a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (green card holder) or refugee/asylee or 2) must be willing to allow or cooperate with the company in applying for a U.S. government license, if necessary. National: The salary range for this position is $83,800- $155,600

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
