The Phlebotomist will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Accurately identify patients and take all necessary blood and specimen samples while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Prepare and process specimens for testing, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Follow infection control and safety policies to minimize risks.
- Handle data entry tasks related to patient information with diligence and accuracy.
- Collaborate and maintain open communication with the healthcare team to ensure patients' healthcare outcomes.
- Educate patients about the phlebotomy procedures, addressing questions and alleviating anxiety.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Requirements:
- CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- 18 years old and above
- Ability to maintain professionalism under challenging circumstances
- Flexibility in work hours, as this position may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
