Job Description

The Experiential Therapist reports to the Manager, Experiential Therapy. This position is responsible for the provision of comprehensive quality therapy services (recreational, art or music) for psychiatric inpatients. This entails providing group therapy sessions to a variety of patient populations. Initial assessments of patients’ strengths and needs are required and daily documentation of therapeutic engagement.

Additional Job Description

This position provides mental health setting training and generous orientation phase for success in job duties. In addition to education of staff, all MUSC employees provide training, orientation and education to occupational/recreation/music/art therapy interns and other students associated with Psychiatry.
