As the Machine Builder you would be responsible for constructing, assembling or rebuilding machines.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Client out, plant and perform a wide variety of mechanical assemblies consisting of sub-assembly work, mounting of commercial components (bearings, pneumatic components, and drive systems) to large and small frame weldments.
- Work with blueprints, assembly drawings, specifications, sketches to assemble and disassemble, repair and adjust a variety of units, attachments, components, and/or accessories.
- Working from bill of material and shop floor routings, obtain parts and components necessary for assigned tasks.
- Check for apparent defects, damage to all components prior to installation/assembly.
- Work from mechanical drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics to determine location and placement of components, pneumatic and hydraulic assemblies, machined parts and fabricated parts.
- Start up and test finished machinery per specifications.
- Use common power tools, hand tools, and measuring gages (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators.
- Perform inventory control procedures.
- Detect and report faulty equipment, material, or other unusual conditions to supervisor.
Pay and Shift info
- Starting pay is $19-$23/hr based on experience.
- 1st shift, Monday – Friday from 6am – 230pm.
- Temp to Hire opportunity with the company.
Skills/Qualifications
- Prior experience performing mechanical assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Working knowledge of machine electrical controls and functionality.
- High degree of troubleshooting.
- Able to lift 50 lbs independently.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
