The position we have available is for an expert Forklift Mechanic. This person is critical to our continued growth and success. We are looking for a strong minded, intelligent, hardworking, resilient individual with experience and a grasp of forklift and other mechanics.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Maintain a clean and safe work area including your company vehicle if assigned and customer facilities.
• Adhere to all OSHA, company and customer safety procedures.
• Maintain positive customer relations through professional interactions with customers.
• Follow all company operating and process procedures.
• Complete all repairs as directed using company and manufacture procedures and guidelines.
• Communicate with the dispatcher as required to maintain efficient and productive activity.
• Become familiar with company posted MSDS sheets and utilize as needed.
• If assigned a company vehicle you are responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle and to follow all traffic laws.
• Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
• Able to repair, or replace major system components, including circuit boards and other electrical parts, hydraulic, mechanical, L.P. systems, power steering and transmissions, engines with limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose most truck components
• Perform engine tune-ups on most makes of equipment without supervision
• Perform proper PMs in a timely manner
• Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose most complex electrical systems on IC and electric trucks
• Be able to use all special tools properly. Maintain and properly use the normal tools of the trade.
• Operate service van in a clean, safe and secure manner following all required safety rules for the job
• Assist with training/mentoring apprentice mechanics through on-the-job training.
• Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
• Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts with parts frequently needed in stock.
• Driving is an essential function of this position and a valid current drivers license must be maintained always.
• Perform other duties as required per management.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• 2 yrs. experience in fork lift mechanics
• 2 yrs. experience in engine mechanics
• 2 yrs. experience in electrical mechanics
• High school diploma, G.E.D or tech school graduate preferred
• Strong knowledge of Linde fork lifts highly desired
• Quick learner and intelligent
• Excellent multi-tasking and project management
• Strong organizational skills
• Basic MS Office and computers skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• The desire to do the job right every time

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- $19 - $24 per hour DOE
- Health Insurance, Vision, Dental and Life offered
