Our fast-paced, growing Winter Springs family and cosmetic dental practice seeks a full time -Expanded Functions Dental Assistant!

We have PPE and processes in place to keep our team and patients safe. Full office air purification systems, operatory air purifiers, Face Shields, N95 and KN95 masks, extra oral and intra oral suction machines, office ozone cleaning nightly, ozonated and electrolyzed water, hypochlorous acid operatory cleaning system and more.

Organization & Systems

· Ensure each treatment room is fully stocked.

· Follow systems for each procedure.

· Follow infection control protocol. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.

· Maintain Dental Assistant manual, updating protocols and procedures as necessary.

· Monitor lab cases to ensure all cases are ready at least one day prior to patients’ appointment.

· Ensure all members of the clinical team are following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

Supply Monitoring

· Ensure all materials and products needed to serve patients are readily available.

· Monitor supply levels and usage to avoid under/over ordering.

Clinical Support

· Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.

· Taking dental x-rays and intra-oral photos.

· Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.

· Providing patients with instructions for post-op care.

· Taking consistent impressions with a variety of materials.

Customer Service

· Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.

· Communicating with happy and unhappy patients.

· Coordinate appointments for patients who are referred to specialists’ office.

REQUIREMENTS

· EFDA/Radiology Certificate

· Full time up to 40+ hours a week, 4 days a week./

· Identify problems and create solutions.

· Prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

· Punctual and dependable.-Intermediate computer experience

Required Education: High school Diploma or the equivalent
