The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Estimating and Pricing Specialist in Saint Charles, MO.
This position offers the opportunity to enhance a candidate’s knowledge of the acquire process, as well as the overall execution of the business. Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) in Saint Charles has a broad portfolio of programs and customers, both domestic and international. As a member of the Weapons Estimating team the successful candidate may have the opportunity to support to both Direct Attack and Cruise Missile weapons programs, gaining broader experience and visibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate and interface with Contracts & Pricing, Supplier Management, Procurement Financial Analysis, Engineering, Program Management, Material Estimating and other functional organizations
Understand and analyze the labor requirements, develop estimating plans, obtain data, and prepare estimates of labor costs for new business opportunities and current contract mods
Prepare Truth in Negation Act (TINA) compliant cost volumes for submittal in proposals to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and United States Government (USG) customers, as well as cost volumes for commercial and competitive proposals
Develop the basis of estimate, provide supporting details such as tasks, actual cost incurred, analogies, or cost estimating relationships, and providing pricing of the overall effort
Support the acquisition process by supporting customer fact finding, negotiations, and sweep activities
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following fields: Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics
Experience working on government proposals, to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals
3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
3+ years of experience in cost estimation
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Ability to proactively apply problem solving skills
Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team
Ability to learn new systems & tools, estimating techniques, and gain program knowledge in a dynamic environment
Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with external customer and across multiple functions including Finance, Supplier Management, and technical disciplines
Demonstrate analytical or estimating capabilities
Experience with time management skills to meet tight schedules with first time quality
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $84,150 - $113,850
