Experienced Lead Cultivator - This job will include, but is not limited to, the daily care and focused attention necessary for feeding plants, measuring nutrients, cloning, general and deep cleaning, leaf removal, harvesting, and leading the cultivating team. On occasion, Cultivation Lead's may be required to lend a hand to the processing department, which can include tasks such as hanging plants for cure during harvest, bucking, manicuring dry flower to meet company standards, helping process pre-rolls, cleaning of tools, trimming equipment and trim area. Other duties not covered here may occasionally be assigned.
High Vibes is an indoor, year-round, licensed cannabis cultivation located in North Pole, Alaska. Currently we are in search of a detail-oriented individual, with a strong work ethic, and ability to manage people and projects in the cultivation. We are in need of an Experienced Cultivation Lead who works well in a fast-paced environment, desires a permanent position, and to grow with our ever-expanding company in the marijuana industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily care of plants in the vegetation room and flower rooms.
  • Maintenance of watering and feeding systems.
  • Maintenance of cultivation equipment, such as dehumidifiers and grow lights.
  • Occasional outside work to maintain HVAC systems, shoveling pathways for safe access to entrances, spreading ice melt, etc.
  • Ability to properly clone from mother plants.
  • Ability to thoroughly clean work areas and maintain a standard for cleanliness.
  • Defoliating big leaves off of plants in the flower rooms.
  • Harvesting flower rooms.
  • Ability to clearly and promptly communicate and problem solve issues that may arise in the cultivation.
  • Ability to help plan project dates, such as: Harvesting a room, cloning plants, etc.
  • Manager fellow cultivators during projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in growing and overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Time management skills: Ability to organize assigned duties to maximize productivity.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and punctual team player.
  • Organized, clear headed and able to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Communications skills: Must be able to articulate information clearly, concisely, and within a reasonable timeframe. Verbally communicate information to fellow employees in an effective, respectful manner appropriate with all levels of understanding.
  • Daily walking, crawling, bending, stooping and kneeling on varied surfaces such as the floor and in plant canopy.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling to maneuver equipment/supplies of up to 50-pound loads occasionally. Less weight more regularly.
  • High degree of hand dexterity and hand/eye coordination to operate hand tools on a daily basis.
  • Clarity of vision at every distance with good depth perception for performing assigned tasks. Occasionally on ladders and/or step ups.
  • Good hearing, capable of distinction between equipment signals and the human voice, often amidst background noise.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to interpret and accurately apply AMCO and High Vibes regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.
  • Maintain a positive, hardworking attitude and demonstrate ability to learn and grow with the company.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 21+ years of age per accordance with Alaska State Law.
  • Must have an active Alaska Marijuana Handlers Permit.
  • Must be able to maintain compliance with AMCO standards.
  • Must have 1+ year experience in growing.
  • Ability to complete expected daily tasks and any additional projects within reason.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, additional time on weekends, holidays, evenings, before or after normal shift hours (9AM-5PM). Travel may occasionally be required to assist other personnel on occasion.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be willing to occasionally work outside and have suitable winter gear. I.E. Winter jacket, winter boots, hat, gloves, etc. If lack of winter gear is an issue, please communicate this issue to the owner.

Pay:

$23.00-$25.00/hour or D.O.E - Raises will be evaluated by an employee's ability to perform at and above company standards.

High Vibes is an indoor marijuana cultivation in the North Pole area that has been functioning since 2019. There are two main departments: Processing and Cultivation. Cultivation houses the responsibility of taking care of the health and growth of plants between multiple rooms, as well as harvesting. Processing houses the responsibility of harvesting, curing, weighing, trimming, creating pre-rolls, and packaging. High Vibes values employees that show loyalty and dedication to their work, as well as punctuality, a positive attitude, and willingness to grow their skills and abilities. High Vibes has a focused importance on teamwork and the completion of projects and goals. High Vibes is currently in the process of getting a retail opened and running.
