The Coder position is available with a fully remote option. We are currently seeking full and per diem experienced coders.
A Professional Certified Coder is a key role in our expansive BILH System Services and Lahey Health Shared Services Group. As a Medical Coder you will utilize your accredited certified coding experience and education in a variety of tasks associated with coding physician charges.

Job Description:

Do you have a high level of proficiency in the coding needs for ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT® coding of inpatient/outpatient professional charges? A Professional Certified Coder can be a great position for someone with hands-on coding, documentation review for internal and external audits, coding dictionary updates, rejections and denials, surgical coding, physician or other care provider education.

We have a great career ladder trajectory and internal opportunities in a variety of coding specialties including Professional and Hospital based coding: E&M coding, surgical, cardiology, radiology, ancillary, diagnostic and office visits. You will collaborate with colleagues across the organization, impact critical organizational revenue streams and gain valuable experience working with our Epic EHR system. We offer flexible working hours (shifts start as early as 7am or you can work as late as 6PM) with a comprehensive benefit program.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Required Experience: 2+ years of Healthcare experience, specifically in coding physician charges, and a high level of proficiency in appropriate use of CPT®, ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPCS. CPC-A will be considered for Professional Coder position.

Required Education: High School Diploma

Required Licensure, Certification & Registration: Possess an AAPC, CPC or CCS-(P or A) Professional Certified Coding Certification
