Experienced Chef for Private Residence

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Private Chef to join our household and provide exceptional culinary services for a family of four with diverse palates and dietary preferences. The ideal candidate will be experienced in South Indian regional cuisine, international vegetarian cuisine, and adept at catering to a vegan diet.

Responsibilities

1. Plan, prepare, and serve meals for a family of four with varying dietary preferences, ensuring each meal is nutritionally balanced, flavorful, and visually appealing.
2. Create customized menus that accommodate vegetarian and vegan preferences while incorporating South Indian and international dishes and techniques.
3. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
4. Communicate effectively with household members to understand their culinary preferences, dietary restrictions, and any special requests.
5. Remain flexible and adaptable, able to accommodate last-minute changes to meal plans or dietary requirements with ease.
6. Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and respect while interacting with household members and guests.

Requirements

1. Expertise in South Indian regional cuisine, with a deep understanding of traditional recipes, ingredients, and cooking methods.

2. Proven experience as a Private Chef, preferably within a household setting.
3. Ability to cater to vegetarian and vegan diets, with creativity and versatility in meal preparation.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively and follow instructions accurately.
5. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude, particularly when faced with unexpected changes or challenges.
6. Impeccable personal hygiene and cleanliness in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen maintenance.
7. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on both taste and visual presentation of dishes.
8. Culinary degree or certification is a plus, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
