Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for aerospace communication, sensor, electronic warfare systems
  • Leads development of trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system EMI/EMC performance and to optimize product design to achieve EMI compliance to these requirements.
  • Provides system or unit EMI analysis report at critical design review.
  • Leads development and execution of critical tests to validate performance of designs to EMI requirements. Investigates and troubleshoots any EMI test anomalies or design issues and provides appropriate solutions
  • Works under minimal supervision

This position This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.
This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of Engineering experience with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) or E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects)
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • B.S Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or Electromechanical Systems Engineering
  • Experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD- 464, DO-160 or similar standards.
  • Experience with Analog, Digital and RF circuit and board simulation software and computational electromagnetics software
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI Systems, EMC Design and Electromagnetic Theory. Familiarity with Antenna and RF Design.
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SBI Clearance

Typical Education & Experience:
Experienced:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Lead:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Summary pay range for experienced level: $104,550 - $141,450
Summary pay range for lead level: $126,650 - $171,350
