General:

GEG Pride Leaders must be familiar with all aspects of landscape installation which includes but not limited to; operating company equipment, demolition, site and soil prep, grading, planting all materials, and require minimal supervision while directing a crew of two to four employees in a safe manner. Pride Leaders must also attend to and complete all paperwork and administrative requirements related to the job while creating and maintaining a professional job atmosphere.

Daily

• Morning at the Shop

  • Verify that you have all equipment needed for the day before leaving shop

    • Tablet

    • Job Folder with Plans

    • Fuel

    • PPE

    • Ice/Water

    • Job Materials according to materials list

    • Machinery

  • Verify that PAWS forms are completed and turned in (Driver can do it but it is Foreman?s responsibility)

  • Compare tablet schedule to the schedule on the job board and verify they are the same

  • Verify that everyone in the truck is on ICrewTec

• Throughout the day On Site and between sites, install job process

  • Ensure everyone is wearing proper PPE

  • Communicate with Project Manager about questions and site changes

  • Comply with company policy and safety manual

  • Confirm diesel and 2 cycle

  • Operate machines

  • Check machine is clean

  • Read blueprints

  • Staging

    • Trees should be untied once unloaded from truck

    • Trees staged upright and spaced for watering dig small hole if needed to keep upright

    • Shrubs staged spaced for watering

  • Planting

    • Trees and shrubs planted according to plan. Plans adjusted according to site conditions.

    • Burlap should be unwrapped and cut or tucked in to hole

    • Staking trees in a triangle pattern the same on every tree

    • Shrubs should be removed from pot and root ball broken up before planting

    • Trees and shrubs should be planted with BOLSTER AND MOISTURE MANAGER

  • Sod

    • Keep all silt fence maintained until sod or stabilization has occurred

    • Grading and sod prep should be fine graded no rocks or ruts before sodding

    • BOLSTER AND MOISTURE MANAGER spread before sod is laid.

    • Notify Al after sod has been laid to make sure he schedules the water truck.

  • Mulch

    • Mulch should be uniform at 3? thick and a nice bed edge against the sod

    • Rounded lines at all mulch and sod edges should be uniform and clean

• End of Day at Job Site

  • Clean site from the days work

  • Machines should be parked at night in line with other machines out of the main thoroughfare blocking attachments.

  • Bucket attachment and excavator attachments must be put to the ground after use

  • Remove keys from machines

  • Trailers left on site should be blocked in with machines.

  • Trash should be collected daily before leaving

  • Leftover pallets, pots, scrap sod, dirt from grading should be piled out of sight from main areas. Foreman should notify Al, they need a dumpster or a way to remove debris.

  • Inventory should be performed daily. Notify Project Manager of leftover quantity so they can be utilized on other sites

• End of Job (Job completed)

  • Walk through job site with folder to ensure all tasks are completed

  • Remove all leftover material from site (transfer to other site if needed)

  • Remove all trash from site

  • Remove all machines and attachments from site

  • All trees staked in a triangle pattern

  • Feel good about a job well done!

• Afternoon at the Shop

  • Fuel Up

  • Update magnet board with truck, machine, job info location, and crew members

  • Clock out

As Needed

• Fill out employee write ups, notify project manager

• Fill out incident reports, notify project manager and HR

  • Take 5 photos of damages at varying distances and angles

  • Call Ashlee or Michael if personal injury

• Fill out work orders for vehicles, trailers, or equipment that are broken and put in box for Fleet to take care of

• Fill out PTO requests and submit to HR

• Fill Out Callouts

Weekly

• Sign time sheets Monday Afternoons or Tuesday Morning

• Verify crew members signed their time sheets Monday Afternoons or Tuesday Morning

• Training (additional detail will be added at a later date)

Monthly

• Alert crew members of monthly benefits meeting (attend as needed)

Yearly

• Assist in crew member reviews

• Snow services

  • Expect to work off business hours

  • Expect to work in cold conditions

  • Services include operating plow truck, salt spreaders, and snow shoveling.
