Position Title Executive Assistant to the ChiefAcademic Officer Job Type Full Time - 12 months Department Academic Affairs Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Position Summary Doane University, a liberal arts university with campuses located in Crete, Lincoln, and an Omaha Location invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the ChiefAcademic Officeron our Crete Campus. The Executive Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Chief Academic Officer and the Office of Academic Affairs. This role plays a critical function in organizing data, overseeing schedules, and fostering efficient communication within the department and with external partners, all of primary importance in the day-to-day responsibilities. Responsibilities include coordinating special events, upkeep of calendars, management of office records, and organizing information in both electronic and hard-copy formats. Additionally, the Executive Assistant will take a proactive approach in acting as a liaison between Academic Affairs and various individuals and organizations, both internal and external to the University.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of constituencies inside and outside the university

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with frequent interruption and remain calm under pressure
- Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google and other Internet applications
- Work well independently as well as part of a team
- Broad knowledge of the University's various administrative units, policies, procedures, and regulations is preferred
- Demonstrates professional maturity and judgment, including the security and confidentiality of time-sensitive materials
