Who We Are:
The New Orleans JCC is a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool, a New Orleans early childhood education leader, a fun-filled summer day camp, and so much more. It is a place for adults to take an exercise class, an art class or a dance class. A place for children and teens to experience learning through enrichment classes, sports leagues, family activities, and summer camps. The JCC is built on Jewish values but is welcome to everyone.
The mission of the New Orleans Jewish Community Center is to promote and ensure the well-being of our Jewish community and to instill an understanding of Judaism and its heritage by providing a Center where all can enjoy, learn, experience and share in quality activities in a Jewish environment.
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer will contribute to the Vision, Mission, and Values of the New Orleans Jewish Community Center by supporting and managing the administrative needs of the Chief Executive Officer and the JCC executive team. Primary responsibilities will include handling critical and confidential details, interfacing with internal and external customers, and demonstrating considerable discretion, initiative, and leadership with standards of excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and manage sound administrative systems.
- Schedule meetings and organize activities.
- Be responsible for management, prioritization, drafting, and editing communications.
- Coordinate the board and committee processes, administrative programming, budgets, and staff meetings.
- Be responsible for managing the collection and analysis of statistics and variances related to the goal in collaboration with each JCC department.
- Manage and reconcile the Chief Executive Officer’s expenses and invoicing, as needed.
- Manage business travel for professional staff, as directed.
- Provide administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records.
- Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, taking and transcribing minutes, and organizing catering when necessary.
- Manage the Chief Executive Officer's calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters.
- Coordinate complex scheduling and calendar management, as well as the content and flow of information for the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Team.

What You'll Bring:
- Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience in the relevant field.
- At least 4 years of experience in an administrative role reporting directly to senior management.
- The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Possess exceptional writing skills and communication skills, as well as a strong interpersonal relationship.
- Produce a high level of proficiency in various administrative software such as Google Suite, MS Office, CSI, Accrisoft, and others.
- Be proficient in office productivity tools and is adept at learning new software and systems.

8 am-5 pm
(Must have flexibility to adjust schedule when needed)
$49.4K-$60.8K Annually
