Summary/Objective:
Essential Functions:

1. Maintain the hospital and adjoined buildings in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.
2. Utilize approved cleaning techniques to patient and ancillary services to maintain sanitization levels as required.
3. Stock and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and lined throughout the hospital as needed.
4. Effectively communicates patient area readiness levels to departments, such as nursing and/or surgery.
Competencies:
Maintain professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in SCH employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, general public, patients, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
Work effectively without supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment:
This job will require exposure to environmental elements to include rain, heat, cold and other environmental elements. Common work environment is indoor controlled environment frequented by the public, patients, visitors and staff. Standard housekeeping equipment routinely used includes, brooms, mops, dust mops, carts, cleaning agents, floor equipment. PPE as required under certain conditions include caps, gowns, safety glasses, and facemasks as well as other for protection of patients and employees.

The physical demands described as follows are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full Time position, and core hours of work are Monday through Friday 8 hours per day with overtime as needed and approved. Position requires work schedule flexibility based on needs of the facility to include, weekend rotations, call outs after hours and weekend rotational schedule.
