Event/Party Host

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact and host for group sewing, Sip-n-Sew, birthday parties and other events on an as needed basis
- Engage with guests and provide exceptional customer service throughout the event
- Maintain the respect and attention of a group for the duration of the event to accomplish the goal
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests
- Set up and clean party areas before and after each event
- Assist with food service as needed, including serving and replenishing food and beverages

Skills:
- Sewing experience of at least one year and able to troubleshoot basic sewing problems independently
- An outgoing and vibrant personality with excellent public speaking skills to engage and entertain guests
- Strong guest services skills to ensure a positive experience for all attendees and ability to address inquiries and concerns
- Ability to manage conflicts or challenging situations that may arise during events
- Knowledge of event management principles to effectively plan and execute parties
- Experience working with all ages in a fun and engaging manner
-Excellent clear communication skills for conveying craft or project instructions or safety protocols

Note: MUST be at least 21 years old and have at least one year of sewing experience. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week

Schedule:

• Weekends as needed
