Job Description
As a Security Supervisor at DK Security, you will be responsible for ensuring the site operates smoothly and any incidents are handled professionally and efficiently. At this specific job site, you will oversee anywhere from 20 personnel regularly and as much as 60+ personnel during events in a fast paced and often loud environment. Crowd control and supervisory experience is highly recommended for this position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to
- Camera Monitoring - Monitor CCTV for safety and security concerns throughout the facility.
- Patrolling - Walk the interior and exterior of the building, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
- Customer Service - We interact with co-workers, client employees, various businesses/vendors from other industries, celebrities, law enforcement, guests, and the general public.
- Site Supervision - Processing payroll and overseeing the operations of personnel assigned to work at the site, as well as providing mentorship and discipline to assigned personnel.
- Event Support - Assist in facilitating event security staff for the various shows, concerts, hockey games, etc.
INFORMATION:
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hour (pay rate set by current contract; subject to future increases)
- Hours: This is a full-time position and will require supervisor to have the availability to be on-call 24/7 for emergencies in the event of any critical incidents on-site.

LOCATION: Grand Rapids, MI
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
