Event Support Specialist
Position Summary
This position is on-site in Bethesda, MD.
National Capitol Contracting is looking for an Event Support Specialist to support the NIH, the nation's premier medical research and training institution that supports global conversation that forwards human welfare.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Set up furniture configurations in centrally managed rooms and common areas adjacent to conference and meeting rooms, moving room dividers as required, as well as interconnection of cabling between tables
- Ensure that all centrally managed conference and meeting rooms, as well as the common areas around them, are maintained in good condition by performing daily inspections of all rooms. This may mean that the area may require some cleaning or straightening of furniture or returning to standard configuration
- Disassemble and reassemble various types of conference room furniture and equipment and connecting and disconnecting of power cables and audiovisual cables
- Work with contributing staff (federal and/or contractor) to support conference and meeting activities involving planning, implementing, operating, and evaluating each event
- Perform furniture setups using room diagrams and input from meeting coordinator and event manager
- Provide meeting support such as delivering and setting up furniture and equipment
- Assist in maintaining furniture, equipment, and consumable inventory and checkout system of lendable items such as easels, whiteboards, and conference room consumables such as dry erase markers, easel paper, disposable cups, and cleaning supplies
- Ensure event requirements are fulfilled on schedule--room layout, furniture, furnishings, equipment, and supplies provided as needed
- Return rooms and communal areas to their standard configuration
- Retrieve and return stored furniture, furnishings, equipment, and supplies for an event.
- Confirm conference room readiness and functionality prior to and during an event
- Use the logistics checklist daily for conference/meeting room quality control monitoring
- Place, remove, and store directional signage where needed
- Address last minute conference requirements, as needed
- Performing quality control monitoring to maintain site quality and integrity
