Event Staff/Bartender

Krausening Entertainment Group is looking for Event Staff for our Opera House Annex facility located in downtown Stevens Point. As a historic event venue, we are looking for high caliber individuals to join our team. Event Staff work directly with customers, answering questions and helping out wherever possible. Event Staff responsibilities include preparing venues and setting up furniture, sets, and equipment for events, working as ushers, serving drinks, and operating cash registers. This individual will be a skilled communicator with excellent problem-solving, observation, and interpersonal skills along with the following responsibilities and requirements:

Event Staff Responsibilities

• Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.
• Dispensing useful information to event-goers.
• Working under the instructions of an Event Coordinator.
• Unloading and loading equipment from trucks and setting up venues for events, including rearranging furniture (setting up misc. chairs and tables) and building stages.
• Setting up lighting and sound equipment and digital displays.
• Ensuring the bar and bathrooms are fully stocked and clean.
• Enforcing fire code regulations.
• Adhering to event safety and security standards.
• Inspecting equipment for damage after each use and checking it against an inventory list.
• Operating POS systems and cash registers.
• Assuming the role of Ticket Taker and welcoming guests.
• Ensuring the event hall is clean and organized.
• Assists with serving drinks while providing a pleasant customer experience.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining ingredients by following recipes.
• Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.

Event Staff Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform under stress.
• Excellent multitasking ability.
• Conflict management skills.
• High school diploma.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry 50 lbs. items.
• Bartending and mixology experience preferred but not required.
