Job Description: Event Route Driver
As the first face that our customers attach to the Company, the job of Event Route Driver is a very important one. Successful Event Route Driver’s are responsible for providing quality service, checking and reporting issues with company equipment and doing their job in a safe manner. The following are requirements that the Company has put in place to meet these objectives.
Our appearance is always on display. The Company drives over 1,000 miles a day, and each car that we pass by is a potential customer. Each customer that we service is more than likely going to have another need in the future, and are a big portion of the business. For these reasons each job is important, and the following rules below are necessary
Responsibilities:
- Delivery/Pick and occasionally clean event units
- Have a valid Drivers License and DOT Physical card
- Follow all driving laws always including use of seat belt
- Daily DOT & OSHA Safety checklist completed as a PRE-trip and POST-trip
- Reporting the DOT & OSHA Safety checklist according to company procedures
- Display professionalism by approaching others in a tactful manner. Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions
- Keep the inside and outside of assigned vehicle clean and always organized
- Understand the amount of time that is put into the driver, truck and route assignments on a daily basis, and trust that these decisions are made to put the Company and all employees in the best position to complete routes to balance the needs of each route, the need
Keys to Safely Performing the Job: You cannot be safe without safe equipment, safety gear and being aware of your surroundings.
- Wear the following PPE at all times; Safety Vest, Steel Toe Boots, Back Brace, Safety Glasses
- Add the following PPE anytime you are working around liquids, sludge or chemicals: Nitrile Gloves, are water proof gloves.
- When working in an area where hard hats are required, you must wear a hard hat, or if there is a potential risk of something falling you must wear your hard hat.
- Notice potential safety hazards on customer jobs, and try to work through them with the customer before turning it over to dispatch
- When a vehicle is in motion the only place someone can ride is in a seat wearing a seatbelt.
Expectation for Cleanliness:
- Truck must be kept clean, and if dirty, is to be cleaned daily
- Units must be properly cleaned per the regulations
Tablet Use
- Use the tablet to run your route, change the gps location of stops, record your notes, and notify dispatch of any issues that you had at a particular stop.
- Tablet must be mounted, and next stop programmed before the vehicle is in motion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
