Event Logistics Manager(Targeting Hybrid out of our Lincolnshire office)
We are currently looking for an Event Logistics Manager to join Camping World's premier in-house Events and Experiences team. If you are looking for a new challenge with a fun work environment and an entrepreneurial culture, we'd love to have you join our team. As an event operations manager you will ensure all logistic requirements meet the event schedule. Oversee warehouse materials, project schedules and manage contracted teams to ensure the event quality and experience satisfies all functional needs. This role would be responsible for every aspect of the event; to include but not limited to the move-in logistics, floor plan layout, set up, tear-down, packing and unpacking of all event materials and coordination of event transportation.
Job Responsibilities
  • Warehouse and Inventory Management:
    • Responsible for the organization, auditing, and shipping/receiving at our off-campus warehouse, to include event fixtures, event assets, inventory management, along with shipping and receiving operations.
    • Oversee the loading and unloading of events staging, fixtures, general signage, and other miscellaneous items.
    • Source and update production materials
  • Floor Plans and Show Layouts:
    • Create accurately scaled floor plans and diagrams to allow for proper function and flow for all events
    • Work with venues to receive proper permitting and approval
    • Communicate and supervise floor plans, show layouts, and parking plans for events
  • Event Logistics: Develop final plans and manage overall event delivery to include:
    • Partnering with local dealership teams to collaborate on floor plan, show prep, and load in plan to ensure efficient local support with every project
    • Work with Event Manager to create Event Logistics plans to support project plans
    • Supervise loading and unloading of equipment and materials from trucks for set up and dismantling.
    • Coordinating trailer transport and tracking.
  • Venue Set-Up and Tear-Down:
    • Lead the event set-up; including assembling structures, signs, display booths, along with sourcing equipment, electrical power drops and security.
    • Operate a forklift as needed
    • Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently.
  • Partner with local dealership teams to collaborate on floor plan, show prep, and load in plan to ensure efficient local support with every project
  • Research and select event venues that align with show requirements. Offer input on individual builds (parking, site layout, operational requirements, appropriate out buildings, etc.)
  • Manage agreements with labor providers and subcontractors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service
  • Frequent and often travel to set-up and tear-down events

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 5+7 years of proven experience and success managing event activations (set up and tear down), logistics, on the road in a fast-paced environment
  • Be willing to travel 60-65% of the year - including weekends and holidays, must enjoy life on the road, ability to thrive with a flexible travel schedule and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the events.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to moving or lifting equipment weighing up to 50-60 pounds, stand for long periods of time, ability to bend, lift, squat, reach with ease.
  • Certified and comfortable to drive a fork-lift to load and unload materials
  • CAD or Sketch-UP proficient and experience with laying out floor plans
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to moving or lifting equipment weighing up to 50-60 pounds,
  • Obsessively detail oriented, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on quality and business efficiency.
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving and organization skills and has the innate ability to react quickly to deviations in the event plans
  • Natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.
  • Reliable, tolerant, and determined, comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated team player, professional, detail oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with a commitment to superior quality.
  • Capacity to scope, manage, and execute more than one project simultaneously.
  • Proven ability of leading by example with positive attitude
  • Adapts well to new situations and challenges
