Woodward Academy is currently seeking professional housekeepers to join our workforce in the Facilities Custodial Department.
Specific Duties include:
- Keep campus and common areas clean and maintained.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notify managers of necessary repairs.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Properly clean and dust furniture, desks, and fixtures
- Maintain the cleanliness assigned offices and work stations
- Attending all required staff meetings, including training sessions
- Reporting anything unusual they see happen on campus to your immediate supervisor or security.
- Complying with all rules of the department as specified in the employee manual.
- Responsible for specific duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by department leadership
Required Skills
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Work well individually, in addition to the team
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Perform the basic requirements of maintenance and cleaning.
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- Must be able to effectively communicate (verbally and written)
- Must be able to use the required cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. ( with or without accommodation)
Minimum Job Qualifications
- One year experience in housekeeping or other related field.
- High School Diploma preferred, but not required.
The Housekeeper position is a non-exempt full time position. Earning potential starting at $15.00 per hour. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. All job offers are conditional to successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
