Overview
Plan, install, and/or support ISD equipment to include (but not limited to) workstations, mobile devices, printers, cable distribution systems, servers, telephony systems, audio/visual equipment, routers, switches, modems, electrical systems and equipment, and other circuit specific devices associated with local and wide area networks and emergency power systems. Lead complex/difficult tasks of considerable scope and latitude requiring advanced analysis.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)
- Diagnose issues through technical analysis of Navy Federal hardware/software; take appropriate action
- Document operating procedures for installations, configurations and /or administration tasks
- Formulate and administer equipment maintenance program to include troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of the devices
- Maintain inventory control documentation on systems and components to ensure updates occur according to schedule
- Perform installation and configuration of workstations, printers, cables, network routers and switches, servers, etc., as applicable
- Prepare reports for senior management following installation
- Train team members and/or peers on functional processes and procedures
- Develop, test and implement systems and equipment; document results
- Evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria
- Full life-cycle project management
- Establish and lead project teams
- Develop project plan/scope/schedule/cost/communications
- Procure and/or manage resources/timelines/deadlines/quality
- Risk, Issue and Change management
- Ensure successful project implementation
- Considerable scope of responsibility
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to document and apply policies, standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in leading, guiding and mentoring others
- Significant experience in presenting technical solutions and/or recommendations
- Advanced knowledge of electronic principles as they relate to diagnosing and troubleshooting IT system issues
- Advanced knowledge of technical inter-relationships between software/hardware and desktop/LAN/Host systems
- Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills
- Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Advanced skill in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues
- Advanced skill making effective presentations to groups of various sizes
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
