SUMMARY:
The Trading Support Analyst II provides business and technical support to Allegro ETRM, Netsuite ERP, Adapt2 Bid-to-bill and other applications relative to the trading organization. This role engages with MEMS Trading, Scheduling, Risk Management, Settlements and Accounting departments, as well as external vendors and consultants. This position is responsible for adhering to the IT Change Management policy and MEMS Risk Management policy, practices and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Timely resolve issues in energy trading and risk management systems across commodities of power, gas, and crude.
- Manage issues with software vendors, and proactively communicate with both vendors and users to drive tasks to completion. Thoroughly document issues with steps to reproduce.
- Create reports and automation using tools such as power BI, excel VBA, power Automate, Crystal Reports, Alteryx, and other tools as needed.
- Work closely with Commercial, Scheduling, Risk Management, Settlements and Accounting teams to prioritize, investigate, and troubleshoot application and data issues.
- Follow change management policies and procedures related to trading systems.
- Ensure all tasks are properly tracked and managed, with willingness to put forth extra time and effort to ensure high priority items are completely in a timely manner.
- Update technical manuals, assist with database refreshes, coding, testing and implementation processes.
- Provide reporting on audits, ticket metrics, projects, management reports, and other reports.
- Assist in managing projects both internally and with external contractors to keep projects on time and on budget.
- Help protect the business, enforce best security practices, and achieve user satisfaction across all departments.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in Business, MIS, Accounting or related field preferred or equivalent related work experience.
- Experience in energy trading companies with focus in natural gas, power, and/or crude preferred
- Experience with ETRM systems, especially Allegro and ERP systems, namely NetSuite highly preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of working knowledge with any of the following highly preferred: VBA, SQL, C#, Python, PowerBI
- ETRM/ERP certification or any project management certification is plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Fluent verbal and written skills in English.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Physical demands include:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and may need to routinely move around to communicate with different groups
- Must be willing to be on call and occasionally work nights, weekends or holidays as issues arise.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must have a valid DL.
