Position Overview:
Title:Ethics & Compliance Data Analyst Intern (Summer 2024)
Reports to: Sustainability and Compliance Associate
Location: Norwalk, CT (Hybrid)
About the Position:
The Ethics & Compliance Data Analyst Intern will be exposed to a broad array of corporate ethics and compliance issues. In this role, the Ethics & Compliance Data Analyst Intern can expect to work on enhancing the Terex Corporation Ethics & Compliance program in the areas of workplace culture, anti-corruption, trade compliance, fraud detection and prevention, among others. The Ethics & Compliance Intern will gain practical in-house compliance experience relevant to a corporate environment. The main project the intern will be tasked with is data analysis for the company-wide Ethics Index survey results. The intern is expected to be in person at least twice a week.
The summer internship will run from Monday, June 3, 2024 - August 16, 2024 on a 40-hour work week schedule, with potential to extend or hire depending on business need and individual performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Ethics Index data analysis
  • Create a program for team members to submit volunteer hours
  • Facilitate Sustainability report document collection
  • Create training material for various compliance topics
  • Facilitate policy and annual certification updates
  • Enhance export country profile documents
  • Facilitate planning of the BPA Summit

Required Qualifications
  • Rising undergraduate junior or senior for academic year 2024 or graduate student (JD, MBA, etc.)
  • Business degree background
  • Excellent English writing skills
  • Extensive Excel experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Independent worker
  • Strong analytical and researching skills
  • Ability to work in office at least twice a week
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, or similar data tools
  • Experience working with document and presentation design tools such as Canva
  • Experience creating training material
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in format editing for PDF documents
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Word, Windows, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create effective presentations and other communication forms
  • Creative
  • Articulate
  • Self-confident
  • Dependable and reliable in meeting target deliverables
  • Work effectively as part of a team

The compensation for this position is $25/hr for undergraduate interns and $27/hr for graduate or returning interns. This position is eligible for holiday pay but is not eligible for benefits.
