Position: Sr. MEP&S Estimator

The BR Companies is looking for an experienced Senior MEP&S (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural) Estimator.

An MEP&S Estimator is critical within the construction industry.

MEP&S estimators play a pivotal role in project planning, cost control, and successful project execution.

1. Cost Estimation:
   • Developing Master Budgets: The MEP&S estimator must have the ability to create comprehensive master budgets for construction projects. These budgets serve as the foundation for cost analysis.
   • Conceptual Estimates: Ability to provide initial cost estimates for projects or specific components, considering both MEP and structural aspects.
   • Reviewing Estimates: Capable of evaluating estimates submitted by others and offering constructive feedback.
   • Change Orders: Experience with independently estimating costs for change orders during project execution.
2. Pre-Construction Estimation: Must have experience with:
   • MEP Focus: Concentrating on the estimated costs related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
   • Bid Proposals: Generating pre-construction cost estimates specifically for MEP&S components.
   • Scoping Work: Clearly defining scopes of work based on incoming requests for proposals.
3. Scoping and Documentation: Must have thorough knowledge with:
   • Bid Drawings and Reports: Reviewing bid drawings and reports, including those related to civil, architectural, structural, MEP, geotechnical, and environmental aspects.
   • Thorough Estimates: Preparing detailed estimates, proposals, schedules, and bid submittals.
   • Contract Review: Scrutinizing contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy.

1. Ability and leadership quality to expand and grow and manage an Estimating Department

1. Qualifications and Experience:
   • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator is required.
   • Strong understanding of MEP and structural systems and their associated costs.
   • Proficiency in quantity take-offs, pricing, scoping, and bidding.
2. Pay Range: Salary $96k to $120K - Salary will be Commensurate with Experience
