Summary:
An industry-leading Yacht Repair company is looking to hire a Marine Estimator in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position is more service management than it is project management and is responsible for producing fixed-price estimates, ensuring timely completion, and efficient use of estimating resources. This role will prioritize sales leads and assignments, aiming for accurate and reasonable estimates. Additionally, the role involves reviewing subcontract coverage, communicating with sales and 11 project managers, ensuring correctness in estimating ship repair and conversion as well as assisting project managers in the sale of the job.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years" experience as an Estimator in the marine industry
* Knowledgeable of various types of yacht/vessel components and service repairs
* Ability to turnaround accurate estimates in a fast-paced manner
* Proficient with Microsoft products.
* Must be able to read and interpret blueprints of various yachts and vessels (engineering background)
* Marine Engineering/Project Management background
* Experience with Dockmaster software a plus
* CAD experience a plus
