Estimator Drafting Design - Casework Division

Creative Surfaces, Inc is looking for an Estimator with CAD Drafting experience for our Cabinet Division. This role will be responsible for estimating projects from architect prints or concept drawings and creating AutoCAD drawings.

Essential Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Architectural Engineering OR a two-year post-high school diploma/certificate in Architectural Engineering/Design or related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
2. Experience estimating casework and millwork
3. Ability to interpret architectural prints, sketches, notes, ect. and turn them into workable shop drawings for the production shop to fabricate from.
4. Must be able to communicate directly with sales, architects, interior designers or directly with customers to gain understanding, estimate project cost and document solutions and estimates
5. Attention to detail needed to take a concept to a successful final project quickly and accurately.
6. Experience preparing shop drawing documentation.
7. Self-motivated to work independently as well as effectively, work as part of a team.
8. Organizational and time management ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time.
9. Effective verbal & written communication skills.
10. Must be able to predict task time requirements and meet deadlines. As well as visualize product and conditions to foresee potential issues that may come down the road.
11. Able to use problem solving skills to adjust designs to meet jobsite conditions and solving how to use the various products/materials in a design to produce an exceptional end product and able to offer better solutions and more functional designs to customer with keeping same overall design.
12. Perform all other duties assigned.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

• Construction process experience, (whether hands on or communicating).
• AutoCAD experience.
• IMOS software experience preferred
• Experience in casework/countertop industry.
