Estimator - Cleaning Services

Position Overview:

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in assessing and estimating the cost of Cleaning Services for both retail and construction sites. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing project requirements, conducting site assessments, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure successful project planning and execution. In addition, you will be responsible for understanding and optimizing profit margins to contribute to our company's growth and success in the cleaning industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Assessment:
   • Evaluate retail and construction sites to assess cleaning requirements.
   • Evaluate the scope of work, project specifications, and any unique client needs.
2. Cost Estimation:
   • Utilize industry knowledge and pricing guidelines to calculate accurate cost estimates.
   • Consider factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and any special Cleaning Services.
   • Understand profit margins and work to ensure that estimates are competitive while maintaining profitability.
3. Proposal Development:
   • Prepare detailed and professional cleaning service proposals for potential clients.
   • Ensure that proposals are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
4. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with the sales team to review proposals, answer client questions, and negotiate terms.
   • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that estimated costs align with project budgets and timelines.
5. Competitive Analysis:
   • Keep abreast of industry trends and pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness.
   • Analyze competitor bids and adjust estimates accordingly.
6. Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate records of site assessments, estimates, and communication with clients.
   • Create and maintain a database of pricing information and historical project data.
7. Client Communication:
   • Foster positive relationships with clients and address their inquiries and concerns promptly.
   • Provide clarification and additional information as needed during the bid process.
8. Quality Assurance:
   • Ensure that estimates are aligned with the company's quality standards and service offerings.
   • Monitor project performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an estimator in the cleaning or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of cleaning methodologies, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using estimation software and tools.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
