ESL Teacher

The Tyson Foods plant in Carthage, MS is hiring a part-time teacher for ESL (English as a Second Language) classes that we hope to begin in early May. This class is a free benefit to Tyson employees, and we are seeking someone who is able to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and who has experience teaching ESL. Spanish and/or other language abilities preferred. More details below:

• Class: basic English + digital skills (we have a full curriculum and will train the instructor)
• Hours: Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 - 5:00 pm, plus additional prep time
• Start date: Early May, depends on availability of plant and teacher
• Course length: 14 weeks, will likely continue with ongoing 14-week sessions (3x/year)
• Pay: $40/hour for instruction time plus additional prep time each week, plus all training. This will average to 3-5 paid hours per week.
• Location: Tyson Foods plant in Grannis, AR
