JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the ESG Global Leader will be responsible for developing and executing PIP Global Safety’s ESG strategy and roadmap to align with organizational goals. This role will be expected to lead cross functional teams, drive collaboration initiatives, assess risks and opportunities, as well as to keep abreast of significant ESG metrics and data.
YOU ARE
A leader. This position requires strong leadership skills as you will interact, and project lead multi-functional business teams that will be responsible for developing ESG policy and process. You will manage multiple project teams – providing direction to cross functional working groups while serving as the primary liaison with internal stakeholders and external consultants engaged in our ESG initiatives.
An action-oriented individual with a proven track record in ESG implementation. You thrive on working in a fast-paced, with a changing business environment.
Have proven experience and advanced skills required to develop a strategy, implement a roadmap and lead a global-wide project that meets PIPs ESG objective by 2026. You will provide reporting that evaluates risk and materiality reviews – including preparation for audits and executive updates related to ESG. You will lead development and implementation of the ESG reporting framework and indicator measurement methodologies, KPIs and reference reporting framework – including audit-ready raw data for auditor review.
An ESG champion for the organization. Raising awareness of ESG commitments, facilitating project initiatives to meet organizational goals and communicating progress to stakeholders.
A Coach and a Player. Working with internal partners, maintain ESG reporting and publication inclusive of content development that includes annual sustainability reports and corporate website updates.
An Expert and Teacher. You are expected to be a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of the ESG global landscape, reporting and disclosure trends, as well as relevant certifications and rating systems across business regions. Oversee ESG initiatives, coordinate engagement with consultants and run workshops and training programs with employees.
An Experienced Businessperson with a strong understanding of business functions within an organization along with preferred experience with the world of materials and manufacturing processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s Degree in ESG, Business or related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in ESG, preferably within an organization with strong product orientation.
- Experience working effectively with ESG Process, Policy & Audit in Operations, Finance and HR
- Communication - business writing acumen and advanced presentation skills for high-profile audience.
- Project Management – leadership and organization, and the ability to proactively reset team course to efficiently and deploy team resources against shifting priorities.
- Risk and materiality assessment and articulation, including gap analysis.
- Expertise and experience in carbon footprint measurement, reporting frameworks and software
- Experience with reporting standards and frameworks (SASB, CDP, TCFD, SBTi, UNSDG, GRI, IR, CDSB)
- Strong understanding of ESG assessments and ratings (Ecovadis, ISS, Sustainalytics)
- Planning & analytical - capable of quickly synthesizing data and aligning to relevant context for management reporting.
- Cross-functional leadership – ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Project management software (Asana or others)
- Experience with PowerBI and other data analytics software
