This E&S Commercial Underwriter position is a production underwriting position responsible for both underwriting and relationship management. Underwriting includes new business and renewals for Excess and Surplus lines Businessowners' policies. The underwriting focus is on high-risk property accounts across multiple industries.

- Utilize company underwriting criteria to evaluate risks for businessowner policies.
- Perform independent verification of insured's operations.
- Review new business submissions.
- Evaluate in-force policies at renewal.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers to achieve submissions and premium growth.
- Ongoing relationship management and serve as a key underwriting contact for each assigned broker.
- Driving new business growth through marketing efforts.
- Travel to brokerage offices as needed.
- Guiding and mentorship of underwriting team members.
Salary Range
$85,000-$150,000.00 USD
The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.
Qualifications- 7 years of BOP or Commercial Property underwriting experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced work environment.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
