Job description

I. Position Summary
Responsible for implementation, documentation and monitoring of the content area of ERSEA and ensuring high quality programming and compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and funder regulations of the Child Development program. Extensive travel. Must be willing to travel to multiple sites in diverse communities.

II. Education & Certification Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Social Work or related field required, BS/BA in related field (preferred)
III. Experience & Training Requirements
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with others.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to read and write English proficiently, ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
  • Must have excellent, effective, and professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse clientele.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to share ideas and information effectively.
  • Must have the ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with all staff members, consultants, and regulatory/funding representatives.
  • Must be able to serve as an advocate for children and families.
  • Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
IV. Desired Outcomes
  • Ensure centers meet full enrollment in all programs
  • Ensure centers have active recruitment plans that support full Enrollment and a viable waiting list
  • Complete at least one community outreach activity per month
  • Complete timely Enrollment and Attendance reporting to funders
V. Essential Job Requirements & Duties

  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring of computerized tracking system(s) to ensure effective record keeping in determining eligibility according to Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring of computerized tracking system(s) to ensure effective record keeping in recruitment and outreach program services according to Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Responsible for development and annual updates of agency Community Assessment.
  • Responsible for monitoring sites to evaluate compliance with program regulations in ERSEA Program Services.
  • Responsible for monitoring, reviewing and developing weekly enrollment report on all programs
  • Responsible for enrollment reporting to funders.
  • Responsible for updating ERSEA policies & procedures.
  • Responsible for updating agency and site recruitment plans and training staff.
  • Participate in community outreach for program Enrollment and development of viable waiting lists.
  • Provide on-going support and training to assigned staff on ERSEA program regulations.
  • Represent Chicago Commons at applicable meetings and maintain a liaison with community, neighborhood institutions.
  • Support Child Care Coordinator and sites in ensuring child care eligibility, compliance with funder regulations.
  • Collaborate with the External Partnerships teams in ensuring compliance in ERSEA program Services.
  • Collaborate with Family Hub Team in recruitment activities and community events.
  • Participate in annual PIR review.
  • Participate in annual Program Self-Assessment.
  • Participate in annual Management/Program Plans review.

Physical Requirements:
