The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) performs a variety of clerical functions in the clinical setting within the ER Dept.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Interact with both internal and external customers
- Utilizes the Hospital Information System to accurately perform order entry, transcribe physician orders, and retrieve patient data.
- The HUC maintains and processes all medical record information.
- Work is prioritized with the input of the RNs.
All work is conducted in a manner that supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the hospital.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High School graduate
- Compliant with PPD requirements.
- Experience: 1-year hospital or clinic-related setting experience preferred Medical terminology preferred
