Job Description
The Equipment Technician will complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain fleet records regarding vehicles. This position will uphold AWP's core values and mission of protecting our customers' people, business and time. The Equipment Technician position is responsible for repairs and routine maintenance within the assigned facility or remote locations when needed.

Job Description
The Equipment Technician will complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain fleet records regarding vehicles. This position will uphold AWP's core values and mission of protecting our customers' people, business and time. The Equipment Technician position is responsible for repairs and routine maintenance within the assigned facility or remote locations when needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities
- Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; complete preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, brake systems and electrical devices.
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conduct inspections; repair engine failures; repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replace parts and components.
- Perform repair and maintenance of fleet equipment and various equipment.
- Inspect and evaluation of fleet and equipment
- Adhere to maintenance programs and procedures
- Maintain asset branding procedures
- Monitor and maintain vehicle equipment standards
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED completion required
- 1-2 years' prior experience in related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems
- Must be able to follow safe workplace practices
- Valid Driver's License void of suspension or revocation and is insurable per company policies
Employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
- Primarily M-F, 8a-5p
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Frequent exposure to a variety of extreme conditions within Body Shop including high noise level in the work environment
- The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
- Position lifts or carries objects up to 50 pounds
- Stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects
