Responsible for the evaluation and repair of painting Equipment Repair services for customers of their store as well as for the customers of surrounding Dunn-Edwards stores. Serves as the subject matter expert for all equipment related questions within operating market for both internal partners and external customers. Provides correct and appropriate equipment and product recommendations. In addition to supporting customer repair needs, they are also responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all equipment and required tools.Equipment Repair Technicians build and maintain Equipment Repair business in his or her area or region, assist in the overall objectives of driving revenues and ensure a distinctive shopping experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops rapport with internal and external customers as an expert in the Equipment Repair field.
  • Operates the repair facility in a safe and productive manner, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Conducts spray Equipment Repairs including, troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Keeps immaculate recordkeeping regarding repair and rental agreements as well as manufacturer's warranty repairs.
  • Manages and maintains a spray equipment rental fleet that is ready and available at all times.
  • Tracks business including the sales of repair parts, labor charges, spray accessories, spray units, and rental income.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels on repair parts, spray accessories, and spray equipment.
  • Uses point-of-sale and various software programs in conducting and managing business.
  • Attends and participates in promotional sales events both on and off site.
  • Maintains marketing tools including product literature and equipment related signage.
  • Participates in Equipment Repair and sales training, and maintains current working knowledge of spray equipment, its repair and maintenance.
  • Must be able to drive company vehicle to conduct store business.
  • Additional duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. There are no subordinate supervisors reporting to this job.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Read and write English for safety purposes. Bilingual is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages and analyze report data and statistics. Ability to operate Point-of-Sale computer system and complete cash transactions accurately.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REQUIREMENTS: Valid drivers license is required.
