Equipment Operator With Cdl

OVERVIEW – The Equipment Operator is an energetic, multi-talented, and on-site specialist who focuses on the quality that contributes to company success. This position is seasonal (approximately April – October), hourly, full-time, in the field daily from Mon-Fri with some Saturdays, and responsible for partnering with the manager/supervisor on a daily basis, to ensure work projects are completed in a timely and quality manner. High energy and reliability are key attributes of this role and contribute to the tone of excellence and high expectations for the entire Pavement Resources team.

PRIMARY TASKS – This position is responsible for the daily activities of supporting a small business toward daily success, including:

· Contributing to work project quality for asphalt and concrete repairs: hot-mix patching, crack sealing, spray injections, and storm drain repairs.

· Mechanical aptitude: Operate asphalt, snowplowing, and salting equipment, drive dump trucks, haul asphalt oil with tank trailer, maintain and repair equipment and trucks, rebuild asphalt equipment, general maintenance and repairs.

· While this position will spend the majority of the time operating equipment such as a skid steer loader, roller, and dump truck, as an employee of a small company they will need to help rake/shovel asphalt as needed, as well as other duties to assist the laborers as needed.

· Time management: ability to manage project schedule and tasks each work week.

REQUIREMENTS – The following experience and background information is mandatory to be successful in this role:

· CDL – Class A or B – or able to get within 60 days.

· Mechanical ability.

· Pre-employment drug screening.

· Work history or resume with employment references.

· Good driving record.

· Must have own vehicle, clean and in good, drivable condition.

· No smoking policy-in vehicles, job sites, office, and shop.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - The following experience is preferred and can contribute to success in this role:

· Experience with any of the following:

· Asphalt repair and maintenance

· Asphalt/Concrete/Construction/Landscaping or similar experience

· Operating skid loader, roller, wheel loader, dump truck, asphalt patching machine

· Snow removal
