Job Description
Job Purpose
Primarily responsible for coordinating and executing the calibration of all VIVEX equipment. Ensures that calibrated equipment is operational, within calibration and accessible for all departments to minimize disruption and/or downtime.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develops and implements calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement and performs technical analysis of measurement issues to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Independently determines and performs operations required to calibrate and certify equipment maintaining traceability to NIST standards.
- Installs, calibrates, repairs, and replaces measurement equipment and instrumentation installed in the facility.
- Develop/Implement calibration procedures in order to continue to expand the internal calibration program at Vivex.
- Coordinates all external calibrations and reviews all calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Drafts IQ/OQ protocols for equipment as needed to ensure equipment meets operational requirements.
- Execution of IQ/OQ’s and/or verifications of equipment as needed.
- Support the department on maintaining the Equipment and Facilities SOP’s, Master Equipment List, Calibration Schedule and other procedures as needed for the uniformity and quality of operations and in keeping with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) and current Good Tissue Practices (cGTP’s).
- Supports and assists with equipment repairs and maintenances in the department to ensure there is minimal downtime to operations.
- Assist in the upkeep of the SMART metrics to improve the Equipment and Facilities’ performance.
- Identifies and pursues opportunities to optimize effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and a minimum of 1-2 years related experience preferred. PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) or other recognized formal calibration training preferred.

Working Conditions
Majority of the work is performed indoors. However, some work will be performed in tight spaces or in hard hat areas. The use of heavy machinery in enclosed areas can lead to a loud working environment.
Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) is required to be ran on an annual basis for insurance purposes for the use company vehicles for business purposes.
Physical Requirements
The ability to be able to lift boxes, equipment, and tools up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs.
The ability to be able to use hand trucks, pallet jacks, both manual/automatic and hand tools required for the job.
