Equine BeddingSales Representative

We are hiring a Hemp Bedding Sales Representative to focus primarily on B2C Horse sales in the Texas market. This role focuses on selling Hemp Bedding and that will optimize market share and savings, improve efficiency, and help to achieve the mission and goals of Dominion Hemp.

This is a remote (virtual) field-based sales position that must be located within the geographic territory of Texas.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting data research on Equine market and calling on Horse farms (50 farms per month) to evaluate existing bedding usage. Educate them on the benefits and techniques of using Hemp bedding and schedule an onsite visit for installing hemp bedding for a trial stall.
• Developing new retail prospects and making sales cold calls to Farm and Ranch retailers (up to 25 farm and ranch store calls per week) with the end goal of selling Dominion Hemp Bedding products and growing sales and market share.
• Organizing and conducting effective educational events at horse specific facilities, such as, Horse centers, breeding and training farms, saddle clubs, equestrian vet facilities, Trade shows and show clubs, etc. to enhance Dominion Hemps brand image, sell product and build client base.

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor's degree in animal science or related field strongly desired.
• Candidates with a pending bachelor's degree or candidates without a degree who possess proven sales and industry experience may be considered.
• Previous sales experience desired.
• Basic command of making Equine Bedding recommendations to animal owners in the market.
• Candidate should understand Equine management practices, general market, and industry knowledge. Work/life experience in management of Equines.
• Competent in providing accurate bedding recommendations
• Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office, plus the ability to be trained or trained on Microsoft Dynamics

• Excellent verbal and written communication along with strong organization and time management skills.
• High internal drive, a natural ability for relationship building, and leadership in a team environment.
• Ability and drive to make multiple daily sales calls to customers and prospects operations.
• On farm interaction, in all-weather types at producer facilities for a walk through, and animal evaluations.
• Ability to network in the industry to put producers together to earn additional business and relationships
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Solid public speaking skills

This is a sales role that is compensated for with a target mix of base salary plus commission. The potential salary range is $65,000 - $120,000+. Commission is driven by individual performance. If you can sell and know horses, this is the job for you.
