Job description

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Chief Workforce and Strategy Office (D), Civil Rights & EEO (DE) Office.
A successful candidate in this position will serve as program specialist for all areas under the preview discrimination programs & activities including: Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended; & several other programs/activities.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience in (1) advising on the informal and formal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) or Civil Rights Program complaint processes; AND 2) performing a full range of complaint processing services (i.e., intake, counseling, analysis, reviewing reports of investigation, interviews) and developing written complaint reports in accordance with prescribed guidelines; AND (3) providing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services for workplace and program disputes.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
