Job Description
The School Sisters of St. Francis (a Catholic Women’s Religious Community, and non-profit organization located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is looking for a full-time Environmental Service/Laundry Aide.
SUMMARY: The Environmental Service/Laundry Aide is primarily engaged in keeping the common areas, offices, Sisters rooms and other assigned areas of the buildings clean and orderly for all users at Sacred Heart. The Environmental Services/Laundry Aide also performs the duties of picking up, sorting, and washing and drying of the linens etc. for Sacred Heart. A two week laundry rotation is typical of this position.
This position is 80 hours per pay period. Typical hours are 6:00am-2:30pm. Weekend rotation and holiday rotation within department.
Pay starting at $16.00+ per hour, based on experience.
Position is benefit eligible.
Qualifications and Skills
• 2 years of Housekeeping experience required.
• 2 years of Housekeeping experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Positive, upbeat, friendly personality
• Good communication skills
Responsibilities include
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming hallways, stairs, office space, bathrooms, common areas, and patient rooms.
• Emptying and sanitizing trash and garbage containers.
• Assisting with laundry on a rotating schedule
• Performs cleaning tasks as needed.
• Floor Cleaning

13. Participates in meetings, staff development days, and serves on committees as necessary.
14. Responsible to know the Fire/Disaster plan for reporting safety hazards and for safety practices.
15. Regular attendance is required.
16. Participates in an annual performance evaluation.
17. Keeps work environment clean, neat and in an orderly fashion.
18. Maintains a neat and well-groomed appearance following department dress code.
19. Carries out other requests as may relate to this position when given by the Environmental Services /Laundry Lead, Environmental Services/Laundry Supervisor or Facility Director.
