Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Environmental Scientist who is seeking new learning experiences and career growth opportunities.  The position will be located in our Minneapolis or Duluth  Minnesota office with a potential for a hybrid work schedule. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide environmental review and data analysis for multiple environmental, regulatory, and permitting projects throughout the Midwest
• Provide project review, analysis, and summary of regulations and procedures governing environmental review, permitting, and data analysis
• Interact with project stakeholders and key regulatory agency personnel to assist project proponents in navigating environmental review and permitting
• Drafting of environmental review documents including data research, data analysis, and findings in alignment with stakeholder goals and agency requirements
• Coordinate and execute environmental and technical fieldwork
• Aid in drafting of Environmental Impact Statements, environmental assessments, biological assessments, field observation reports and other technical reports
• Ability to travel to project and team locations on an as-needed basis (up to 20%)
• Strong organization and project team coordination skills
• Ability to present concepts and ideas clearly and concisely
• Excellent communication skills, technical writing skills, and experience reviewing data for synthesis into environmental review documents

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar Environmental Scientist role
• Demonstrable experience in preparation of environmental permitting or environmental review documents in the upper Midwest
• Experience with Federal environmental review process including NEPA and state environmental review processes such as MEPA
• Experience with preparing federal and state permit applications for natural resource projects
• Private-sector or government experience, especially in the environmental review or permitting fields
