Specialized Experience: Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience include analysis of environmental, natural and/or cultural conditions; assisting in developing specified portions of categorical exclusions or environmental assessments in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); applying laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to protecting natural and cultural resources; assisting in drafting, editing, revising, and issuing environmental compliance documents; communicating resource information to groups or individuals in a clear, concise, and professional manner; establishing and maintaining effective working relations with project managers and an interdisciplinary team to meet environmental program goals and objectives.

Education: Have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. with a major study in Environmental Protection or other fields related to the position. I will submit a copy of my transcripts.

Combination of Education and Experience: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. To compute, first, determine your experience as a percentage of the experience required; then determine your graduate education as a percentage of the education required. Specialized Experience: Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience include planning and providing professional guidance for environmental compliance and program support related to natural, cultural, recreational resources, land use, land protection issues, public enjoyment and education; overseeing and coordinating the NEPA and/or NHPA components of project actions; and/ or experience providing oversight, guidance and direction related to environmental and cultural resources laws, regulations and directives designed to protect nationally significant resources.
