  • Balance a workload typically consisting of up to three long-term projects at a time as well as periodic quick-turn efforts to support government needs.
  • May occasionally travel for training or meetings.
  • Perform administrative duties to track tasks completed and hours spent on each project. Meet regularly with each project’s government lead to provide updates and maintain project timelines and expectations.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience providing guidance during the environmental consultation/planning process as it pertains to NEPA, ESA, MMPA, MSA, and other federal environmental law requirements is required. A minimum of 4 years of experience is preferred.
  • General familiarity with acoustics and potential effects of anthropogenic sound on marine species. Experience analyzing the effects of anthropogenic underwater sound on marine species is a plus.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this collaborative team environment.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is vital.
