Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise, lead and mentor on-site professionals.
- Develop, implement, manage, and/or ensure compliance for EHS compliance programs.
- Evaluate and act upon new safety regulations.
- Manage site activities which impact areas of EHS compliance with Federal, State, or Local regulations.
- In collaboration with management and on-site personnel, assist in developing and implementing site policies concerning EHS issues.
- Provide technical guidance to facility management and Occupational Nursing staff.
- Primary site contact for regulatory agencies such as OSHA for inspections, permitting, and reporting.
- Provide facility representation during various audits including outside agency inquiries/inspections.
- Lead audits at assigned facilities and assist other team members where needed.
- Assist in the completion of reporting requirements for corporate.
- Assist in the validation of both monthly and quarterly statistical data from individual facilities.
- Assist with tracking and communication of regulatory requirements within the company.
- Assure that plans are developed and executed to assure that activities are conducted in compliance with applicable safety and environmental laws.
- Assist site with safety training and develop written programs where applicable.
- Provide information and direction to management on potential threats to the business.

- College degree; or in the process of obtaining.
- Five years of related experience and/or training in health/sciences or work experience in the safety field or military leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Practical experience in safety in an industrial setting, including knowledge of incident investigation processes is desired.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
