Mansfield Service Partners
has an immediate position for a Sales Representativein our Select Environmental department at our Houston, TX location. The ideal candidate will have experience selling waste disposal services or in a related industry and has a proven technical aptitude for environmental sales. This role will provide environmental Waste Services and solutions including hazardous and non-Hazardous Waste, used motor oil, oil filters, oily water, and antifreeze.


The Sales Representative’s primary focus will be to identify, penetrate, and close new customer sales opportunities while also managing and growing existing business through share-of-wallet growth initiatives. This role is expected to maintain the highest level of profitability through a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and possess a high level of technical understanding and working knowledge necessary to communicate and sell into the Environmental Waste market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new accounts within the waste industry that fit the company’s quality account standards
  • Develop new accounts and implement plans for growth in existing accounts utilizing active pipeline management techniques and CRM tools.
  • Sets appointments, make sales calls, and follow up to move the sales process along
  • Manages pipeline and book of business through company provided CRM.
  • Participate in training programs and group exercises as directed by the Select Environmental Sales Manager. Incorporate ongoing training and development tools into day-to-day activities to better manage market changes, product knowledge, and processes necessary to develop outside sales growth.
  • Responsible for all correspondence with customers and prospects regarding price quotes, service schedules etc.
  • Assists Waste Administrator in creating waste profiles and/or customer profiles
  • Accountable for following all company guidelines and procedures for account set up including but not limited to (credit, MSA, contracts etc.)
  • Accountable for working as a team with Operations to ensure proper scheduling of jobs and / or waste pick ups
  • Accountable for communicating an effective handoff with operations to facilitate the successful execution of sold opportunities with various vendors supporting those activities not otherwise internalized.
  • Be required to attend weekly Sales meetings to update management on sales and progress of specific accounts
  • Maintains a good working Top 10 Target account list
  • Prepare and present sales presentations in conjunction with suppliers and technical resources to include Value Proposition, KPI management, Customer Programs, Brand Awareness, Cost Reduction and Consolidation, Technical Services, Cross Marketing, etc.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of long- and short-term goals as they relate to:
    • Company growth
    • Key Account management
    • Increased products and services growth year over year
    • Meeting or exceeding monthly Direct Gross Profit ("DGP") goals set by management
    • Goal related compensation
  • Provide customers with a personalized level of customer service that reinforces the importance of customer satisfaction.
  • Resolves customer complaints or service-related issues and communicate customer needs and service issues to the correct people within Mansfield so a timely and positive resolution can be provided.
  • Participates in required monthly safety training
  • Other duties as assigned


Position Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Must carry auto liability insurance limits of at least $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 and be able to provide a copy of insurance showing the limits being carried, employee as driver of the vehicle, the vehicle covered under the policy, and expiration of the policy.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Two (2) or more years Environmental related Sales with industry experience preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of outside sales/territory management experience

  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques and skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to organize, project plan, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a drive to achieve sales target
