This position is responsible for providing Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) support for Vistra Fossil Generation.
Responsible for performing Part 60 & 75 CEMS evaluations (RATA, CGA, QLT), PM and Hg CEMS testing guidance, Mercury testing, NH3, HCL, and any additional trailer testing requested by the Vistra fleet.

CEMS data QA for the Vistra Fleet
Responsible for CEMS hardware troubleshooting and repair
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform Part 60 & Part 75 Reference Method QA testing for the Vistra Fleet (elevations above 300’)
- Up to 50% travel - Primarily in Texas
- Write/Review test reports for completed tests
- Provide regulatory guidance for CEMS/compliance testing
- Provide CEMS regulatory support
- Provide CEMS data review
- Manage emissions testing schedule
- Provide 3rd party emissions test coordination
- Provide MATS testing guidance
- Provide troubleshooting expertise for all CEMS instruments and controls
- Provide excellent communication between plant, EHS and Regional Support
- Learn and utilize multiple CEMS DAHS software programs
- Install/commission new CEMS equipment
- Provide emissions support for engineering testing
- Maintain, calibrate and repair test trailer equipment
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements:
- CEMS experience
- An Associate of Science degree in related field and 3 years technical experience or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of related experience stack testing preferred
- Strong knowledge of Part 60 &75 regulations and test methods preferred
- QSTI groups 1, 3 and/or 5 preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships in challenging environments
Key Metrics:
- Deliver safe, high quality emissions testing
- Perform CEMS hardware maintenance and repairs
- Deliver test reports within expected time frame
- Effective and timely communication with plant, corporate environmental, dispatcher and management
- Identify CEMS best practices across the fleet and provide continuous improvement concepts and strategies to plants and management
- Respond to calls and requests in a safe, timely and consistent manner
- Develop relationships with plant teams and corporate environmental
Please note that this position requires frequent travel (50%) to various locations within the region. A valid driver's license is required.
