Job Summary:
- Comply with and support PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and Company policies and procedures, as well as Federal, State and Local regulations.
- Review processes, technical and regulatory issues, and execute permit functions to meet compliance needs.
- Comply with and support AS9100, SOX requirements and all PCC Cardinal Rules, including EHS and Quality.
- Works in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
- Develops, recommends and implements programs to assure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal environmental regulations including documentation, reporting, permits, manifests, training, and policy development. Coordinates and manages all on-site hazardous materials.
- Provides technical support and direction for environmental compliance programs and practices
- Develops, implements, and maintains environmental best management practices for the site
- Develops and administers Environmental training and communication programs (HAZCOM, HAZMAT, etc.).
- Interfaces with external agencies, plant, division and corporate contacts regarding various Environmental initiatives, programs and practices.
- Extracts and manipulates data from business systems for environmental reporting.
- Completes and submits periodic reports for air, storm water, waste water, hazardous waste, community right to know programs and other relevant media.
- Develops, submits, and negotiates environmental permits to regulatory agencies in the areas of air emissions, storm water, industrial waste water, and hazardous waste. Provides information and reports to Division EHS Director and others as requested.
- Demonstrates continual focus on environmental improvements and enhancements; develops, implements and manages cost and waste stream reduction pipeline projects.
- Effectively manages projects, to include personnel and contract resources as necessary.
- Conducts daily plant walkthroughs; identifying environmental issues, coordinating with operations leadership and maintenance on needed improvements.
- Trains personnel on environmental procedures and ensures compliance.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Safety Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years experience facilitating and managing Environmental programs in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in safety management and/or Industrial Health is a plus
- Experienced in air permitting and regulations, including; AB32, RECLAIM, & Title V.
- Must be proficient or have relevant experience with the following: SCAQMD, EPA, CalEPA, CWA, DTSC, CUPA
- Must be experienced in environmental inspection and audit processes
- Experience in acquisition of permits and interaction with regulators is desired
