Spur Environmental Services is currently seeking an Environmental CDL Operator who is self-motivated, team oriented, and safe. Job includes delivering empty roll-off boxes and vacuum boxes to support field cleaning operations, transporting loaded boxes to landfill to offload, box wash outs and box returns. Vacuum tanker operations to transport a variety of waste liquids to landfills, SWDs, etc. Operating and Maintaining hydro vacs for a variety of applications including but not limited to pit cleanings, daylighting, and hydro excavation.

Position Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License required
- Tanker Endorsement (Or Obtained within the first 30 days of employment)
- Ability to follow instructions to complete all required transportation documents, i.e., Waste Manifests and BOLs. (Training Provided)
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including overtime and periodic weekends.
- Travel Periodically
- Required to be clean shaven to wear a respirator, as needed. (Mustache Acceptable)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Good driving record with less than 3 violations in the last 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
- Basic computer skills to clock in/Out, Upload Project Photos and Notes into App.

Preferences but Not Required:
- Experience Preferred but Not Required: Roll-Off Boxes / Dumpster, Waste Hauling, Vacuum Truck / Tanker, Hydro Vac, Flat Bed
- 1 year of Commercial Driving
Working Conditions:
Due to the diversity of both scheduled and non-scheduled remediation’s and emergency response projects, physical demands, and environmental conditions vary significantly depending on the project. May work in environments that are extreme in nature such as heat, cold, heights, chemicals, loud noises, heavy equipment, long hours, etc. May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, use of hands, and heavy lifting of up to 100 pounds or more.
Schedule:
- 8–14-hour shift, depending on project
- Monday to Friday, Periodic Weekends
- Typical Report for Duty 5:00am -7:00am
- Rotational On call
- Overtime Available
Day in the Life
- After receiving your instructions from dispatch, the night before, you arrive to Company yard in Cresson, TX or Client Site, clock in and:
- Prepare, test equipment, and stock your industrial unit with ALL supplies and PPE you’ll need for the day.
- Perform REQUIRED Pre-Trip to ensure driver and unit will perform safely over the roadway and pass all DOT requirements in the event of inspection.
- Collect any necessary transportation documentation, such as Waste Manifest or BOL. Ensure it is filled out in its entirety.
- Promptly and Safely mobilize to job site, set up a tidy work zone and proceed with loading in a timely manner.
- Work with industrial power washers (4,000 - 40,000 psi) and supported vacuum equipment (Vac Trucks, Hydro Vacs, Porta-Vacs, Pumps, etc.) to clean pits, sumps, tanks/tankers and trailers.
- Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations to maintain safety on the roadway.
- Ensure the work area is always safe and that you are always looking out for the safety of your team.
- Transport loads to various facilities to safely offload. This is includes but is not limited to landfills, recyclers, compost facilities, injection wells, land farms, client lay down yards, Oil and Gas Pad Sites.
- Rehabilitate your industrial unit by re-stocking supplies, PPE, and small equipment, fittings, tarps, and tools. Sweeping and washing your unit, including your truck, in preparation for the following days tasks.
- Perform REQUIRED Post Trip and complete DVIR.
- Report all repair and maintenance needs to mechanics and management IMMEDIATELY in order to ensure no delays are encountered the following day.
If scheduled, Remain Prepared for On-Call needs throughout the night.
